He's quite noble, willing and loyal to the point he will not leave a fallen rider. He's known to be quite stoic as well when it comes to injury and pain, which can be an issue - he's willing to work himself into the ground for his owner, even when he's in pain. He generally doesn't spook unless its a 'jump-scare'. Can be left for months and brought back into work. the history owner • GRIFFIN SKY KELLER father • Unknown mother • Unknown siblings • Likely Many overall history • Daemon's life was normal, born on a small stud farm, left to grow and mature out before finally reaching a suitable training age. His initial years were incredibly good - his owners made sure to teach him many ground skills and put him through many situations that most other horses might've freak out, but he took to each lesson fairly quickly before moving on to the next lesson. His dressage career was then later kicked off at the age of five, where he was taken from ring to ring and rose steadily through the ranks with his share of failings, though his owners continued to work with him. There was never really a time from then on where he was truly on rest, as he began to win and win decently. Over the next five years, he was an international star at the age of ten, placing in the top three consistently and seemingly effortlessly. However it would begin to unravel slightly. With no real breaks in his career, Daemon grew an exceptional pain tolerance, his saddle causing constant pinching and bruising in his back - an issue that had not been discovered until a competition vet check where the vet found the sensitive hot spot. Scratched from that competition, he was ordered onto rest for a little while however his owner decided that two weeks off was too long when Daemon was on such a good streak. He worked, never showing signs of pain as he did so. This move however saw Daemon taken from his owners on the grounds animal abuse. Given several months off, and reassessed, Daemon was picked up by another competitive rider who was considerably less aware of Daemon's abilities. The stud went on to perform through a variety of strains, bruises and knocks. He did however have a moment where he pinned his ears as he worked on a skewed shoe that sent him considerably lame. He was rested and sold on again at thirteen to a young man in England who didn't care about the horse as such, only looking to win. His younger sibling was mucking around with the horse one day and jumped out behind the stallion, frightening the life out of him. Completely ruled over by fear, Daemon bolted straight into an arena wall, smashing one of the mirrors head first. Stunned and not moving as much as was expected, the vet at first thought the horse was physically paralyzed but after an adrenaline shot, Daemon got off the ground and was carefully led to a stall where his wounds were treated. For the rest of that year he was on recovery watch, let go to pasture condition before his owner brought him back into work again to be sold. Naturally the seller never mentioned the accident. Notes - these are things his previous owners have not mentioned; - Has a semi-paralyzed left ear (limited range of motion / feeling) - Scars are neat and super faint, cannot be seen unless he is clipped. - Unknown amount of vision loss; can see, things are just blurred - quality of life is unaffected. the role player alias • BlackJack, Jac age • Mid 20s other characters • Lost count again... |
